Our great spring-trip

Staying in a traditional Korean village.
Tea parties.
Good Korean food.
Mount Jirisan and a Buddhist temple.
Swimming and sunbathing in a luxury spa.
Korean sauna and relaxing.
Ah, that's life.

Remainings of a building that used to be part of the wall that was protecting the city.

The place where we stayed during our trip.
The old house of the leader (a local celebrity) of the city.

Surroundings of the house show sign of old history and cultural heritage, too.

We are having a tradiotional Korean tea-party!

This tea was very tasty, nothing like I've had before, because it was so tradional and made in the old way.

Some work for us!
Collecting nuts and putting them into small bags.
This was fun :D

The first day of the spring when it actually feels like summer already.

The sun is setting, but still no need for a sweater!
The firts t-shirt-day of the spring! <3

Some details of tradional Korean houses: a fancy roof and some pretty lanterns.

More details.
I absolutely adore these old doors and paper-walls.

:)

This is so traditional <3
(Also traditional clothes on the background)

Such beautiful houses!

The last sunny moments of the day.

This place is so full of history, I can almost taste it.

Our home during the stay.
I love the paper-walls!

After the sun has set.

Guys playing... Ok, I forgot the name of the game.

Behold: the night is here!

Some snacks and drinks for the fun evening.

Then next morning... Oh, the sun is rising and I can see it through the wall!

Sunrise :)

The front gates of the house.

Morning is here!
Why am I up so early..?

I'm up so early so I have time to play on the premises :D

:)

Looks like we are still sleeping.

It's so warm and comfortable to sit outside, under the morning sun... It's quiet and calm, it's like I traveled back to the old days.

Playing outside. Because I can.

Oh this place. I miss it!

 Group-pictures :)

 Well... "Group".

Tea-moment! :)

This is exactly what I love about Asian cultures: colours!
Look at this piece of art and forget your sorrows!

Let's go to mount Jirisan!
Guys, lead the way.

This river is almost dry during the early spring (as we discovered) but it's still beautiful, and the water coming from the mountain is so clear and pure!

A bridge to nowhere.

Ok, this mostly looks like autumn, but it's really spring here.

This place is definitely beautiful during the summer!
Ok, it's pretty right now, too.

Temple walls and some mountain-view.

Needless to say how much I loved this place?

Oh my... What a view...

More temples and tradiotional buildings.

:)

These things are built by people who believe that their wishes come true if they can build a good tower with small stones!

:)

The sun is almost coming out.

Heading back to the main gate.

These places just look so much better when you really experience it... Pictures can't show how beautiful this is.

:)

"It's poison!"
"Oh... Screw that, I'm so thirsty!"

In the middle of the temple-area.

A gift-shop.

These mountain-streams are pure and clear, and so beautiful :)

Next stop: Luxury Spa! ;)

I really enjoyed visiting a traditional village and sleeping there, visiting a Buddhist temple and Jirisan, swimming in the spa, sunbathing for the first time in 2013... People should spend more weeks like this. Exploring and relaxing!
