Dongdaemun

One of the best places in Seoul :)

The first thing that comes to my mind when thinking about Dongdaemun is of course shopping. Dongdaemun is still a very versatile district with good reputation. There are many Russian people and other foreigners, Dongdaemun history and culture park, Cheonggyecheon stream, and many fun things to do and see.

One of the best things in Dongdaemun is how the old and the new comes together and creates an interesting mix. I'm going to add some more pictures later and tell more about the history and sightseeing around this district. Everyone will fall in love with this place!

I highly recommend the cafés around here. If you're tired while shopping, try getting some iced coffee from Tom N' Tom's.

If you have never heard about Dongdaemun, then it's time to learn its main function: shopping! Of course there are many other things, but if you wanna go shopping but your budget is not gigantic, I would advice you to check this place out! Shopping and fun on many levels.

There is a catch though: the saleswomen are tricky! You need to watch out or they'll sell you anything with a high price. It's like in any other country, if they see you having money, they'll sell a 20 000 won shirt to you with 60 000.

You can dodge the saleswomen that seem unpleasant by ignoring them and walking away. Also if you speak some Korean to them, it might help while negotiating about the price. You might get a good discount!

After shopping it's a good idea to get some ice cream or for example a big portion of icy patbingsu! Lotteria offers the cheapest bingsu with dried and fresh fruits, little rice cakes, red beans and vanilla ice cream! Even during the hottest summer days they sell it for about 4000 won, when it gets a little colder it might be even 2000 won. That's a bargain!

Now I miss eating bingsu... And summer TT TT
