Hyehwa is a peaceful but still lively part of Seoul.
There are many students, also foreign ones, because this district is known for its good universities.
This is a good place for enjoying peaceful, beautiful summer-days.
Sun is starting to shine after some rain.
Hyehwa-dong (혜화동) is a vibrant neighbourhood about 12 000 people and many, many good schools, walking streets that are closed off to traffic during evenings, restaurants, cafés and culture.
Hyehwa is really colourful during the days and nights also. The nightlife is great! It's different kind of nightlife than in Gangnam or Itaewon for example, where the best clubs are located. In Hyehwa it's good to sit down, have some coffee or good food, listen to the local performers, see some art exhibitions and enjoy the walking streets.
This part of the city is very good for young people. Teenagers and young couples walk around, having romantic dates and enjoying the music and relaxed atmosphere of the colourful neighbourhood. I can always see all kinds of people on the streets, Koreans and foreigners, young and old...
Naksan mountain is also very close, and hiking there during evenings is great! The views are amazing, and seeing Hyehwa from above is totally worth it. Hyehwa has something to offer for everyone, and for me it has always offered a lot.
Hyehwa has so many European vibes. It's really different than any other parts in Seoul, there are many cultures, lots of art, lots of colours and style.
Italian restaurants are good too!
Eating pasta in Korea, well of course...
Koreans can also cook very good Italian pasta.
And pizza.
Shopping and street food, what could be better?
Evenings around Hyehwa are always good.
Hyehwa has many squares and parks where young talents can perform! There are many academies, schools and universities where people study dance, acting and other types of arts, that's why Hyehwa is full of skilled performers and every night you can hear live music somewhere.
No wonder why I love this place.
